Research Identifies the Most Effective Form of Exercise for Enhancing Sleep Quality

Yoga Emerges as the Most Effective Exercise for Improving Sleep, Research Shows  Rolling out a yoga mat and syncing movement with breath may be one of the most powerful ways to improve sleep quality over time. A comprehensive review of clinical trials has found that high-intensity yoga practiced regularly is more strongly associated with improved sleep outcomes compared to walking, resistance training, aerobic exercises, or traditional mind-body practices such as tai chi and qi gong. The analysis, which examined results from thousands of participants across different age groups experiencing sleep difficulties, highlighted that practicing yoga for less than 30 minutes, twice per week, was the most effective routine for improving sleep.
